The fifth black girls rock, The iconic Ruby Dee was the recipient of the Living Legend Award and was presented by the wonderful Lynn Whitfield. "Ruby Dee is all Black Girls Rock! (TM) means" Whitfield said.
Dee said in his acceptance speech of the movement: "At times like this that I understand and appreciate the commitment to accountability and responsibility is essentially a legend to come." After touching its price, Fantasia, Kelly Price, Marsha Ambrosius Ledisi and shook the stage in the final mix of "A Brand New Day," "I Am Woman" and "I'm Every Woman."
The stellar matter is also memorable performances and tributes, as well as video messages from other women in a fun and stimulating black rocks below Anika Noni Rose and actress Tracee Ellis Ross, president and CEO of BET Networks, Debra Lee, host and entertainer, Sherri Shepherd, Roslyn M. Brock, president of the NAACP, and Black Girls Rock! Foundation Inc. Founder Beverly Bond.
