The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of 7.5 and a depth of about 15 km. The epicenter at 78 kilometers west of 'I paid the Indonesian island of Selantan, the west coast of Sumatra. The quake occurred at 1442 UTC Monday.
