Blount mother found in her home country, Little Rock on Wednesday. The cause of death is unknown. Blount was the writer and actor Ray McKinnon, who has appeared on HBO's "Deadwood" and more recently as a high school football coach in the movie with Sandra Bullock, married to "The Blind Side." She and McKinnon won the 2002 Oscar for best short film "The Accountant".
McKinnon was out of town this week. September 9 in the Arkansas Hall of Fame Blount Artists. After living 28 years in Los Angeles, Blount and McKinnon had recently returned to Arkansas. One reason for the great films of the south.
"They think that the accents are correct, but we all know otherwise," he said in Little Rock Soiree June 2009 story. Immersion in the culture of Arkansas and the community has enabled both to leave the light a little 'and concentrate on his writing and production.
